Ellie Alfonso and Kinsey Wilson are your coaches but Julie Daniels (our most successful club coach) will be attending as a mentor coach to help everyone through their first tournament.

 REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR AAU OR USA VOLLEYBALL

Within a few weeks, Coach Inga will be sending out the registration process for AAU and USA Volleyball. It’s not the simplest way of doing things so feel free to ask questions. Be on the lookout for an email from [email protected] Once you receive those instructions please complete ASAP. 

 FINANCIAL TERMS 
November 2021 - May 2022

Basic Player Fee: $1400 (Early Bird Discount: $1260)
Registration Fee: $50 (in November)
Additional Uniform Fee: $150 (assessed in December)
Additional AAU Fee: Around $15 per player. You will pay this directly to AAU. There might be a $40ish membership for USA Volleyball if we go that route. 

Payment Plans available up to 6 months (Nov-April)
Minimum Payment for November to reserve your spot: $225.00

As with most club teams, if you can pay the early bird discount up front, its appreciated, it helps build up a bank to register for tournaments, etc….

PRACTICES & SKILL SESSIONS 

TEAM PRACTICE (Mandatory) 

Sundays at Commerce High School 4pm-615pm. We will periodically schedule additional practices if it fits everyone’s schedule. Check schedule monthly for exact times. I’m sure we will have some Sundays off (gym maintenance, holidays, etc….) 

 SKILL SESSIONS (OPTIONAL) 
You may then attend
Monday in Gainesville 6pm-730pm
And/or
Wednesday in Commerce 630-830 or Gainesville 6pm-730pm

I’m REALLY HAPPY Ellie and Kinsey have agreed to coach the team. Both are excellent role models, mature and responsible, have spent extensive time in our gym as both players and coaches, know how to be serious when needed but also fun when it’s called for as well.

SEASON PROGRESSION 
EVALUATION SEASON (NOVEMBER)

November is “evaluation season” the sole purpose to evaluate the players to start planning the training season starting in December. Also, it’s for the kids to get touches on the ball and get back into the swing of things. We won’t do as much “technique work” during this phase (like a tryout or open gym) We’ll be learning the new kids, making adjustments, figuring out what we need to do to train this year’s groups, etc….please be patient!! 

YEAR-LONG TRAINING PROGRESSION (DECEMBER through MAY)

o    PRE-SEASON: December Emphasis is on Individual Skill & Technique Development 

o    PRE-COMPETITION SEASON: Early January: Emphasis is on Simple & Complex Drills to back-up the Skill Development and we start to teach “Team Volleyball”

o    COMPETITION SEASON: Remainder of Season: Emphasis is on lots of competition and game-like drills (as well as mix in some fun)

Our system tends to emphasize a great deal more ball control than most clubs & school programs. Most parents & players only see Hitting & Serving first. We see ball control first.
