2024 Spring Coed 7v7 Flag FootballThe season will run from Sunday, March 24th through Sunday, June 9th.
Games are held once a week on Sundays between 5:00 and 8:00 at the Triangle Road Football/Lacrosse Complex.
The season will consist of a player combine, 8 regular season games and playoffs.
A 2 hour skills development session will take place each week with time and location to be determined by field availability.
Each team will be led by a Hillsborough High School football player. Parents are encouraged to help coach and organize the team during skills sessions and games.
The league is open to boys and girls in grades 3-8 and is open to players in Hillsborough and the surrounding areas.
Players will be split into 2 divisions:
• Grades 3-5
• Grades 6-8
No prior football experience is necessary.
For those familiar with previous seasons of the coed spring flag league, there will be two significant changes for the upcoming season:
1) We will be participating in the NFL Flag program. Each player will receive an NFL Flag jersey and flag belt.
2) We are introducing a skills development session during the week. These will not be mandatory and will be a great opportunity for players to receive coaching on the fundamentals and terminology of the game.
Season Schedule:
March 24: Player Combine
March 31: Easter No Games!
April 7: Week 1 of the Regular Season. Distribution of Jerseys and Flags
May 11/12: Mother’s Day Weekend. Our goal is to play on Saturday this weekend.
June 2: Week 8 of the Regular Season
June 9: Playoffs (all teams make the playoffs)
Costs:$125 per player. No work bond is required.
Additional Information: Uniforms: NFL Flag jerseys and flags will be provided as part of your registration.
Required Equipment: Mouthpiece and football or soccer cleats. Shorts and sweatpants are recommended and without pockets are preferred. Baseball spikes are not permitted. Players can wear football gloves.
Medical Form: Medical forms are not required to participate in Spring Coed Flag Football.
Volunteer! Our program is entirely volunteer run, including all directors and coaches. It takes significant time and support to make the program a success. Please consider signing up as a team coach to help make the season the best experience for all involved! Parent coaches do not require any previous football coaching experience and go a long way in helping with organization and player substitution on game day.
