Board of Directors
The Stanwood Youth Football (SYF) Board of Directors manages the day to day operations of SYF. To be nominated to the Board of Directors you must have served in a volunteer capacity of some type over the previous two seasons. Nominations for positions, including self-nominations, can be done anytime prior to December1st. Our operating year runs January - December with new board members elected in the final board meeting of the year. The board meets monthly to review program operations and finances.

Justin Curtis, President
Justin served as Treasurer of SYF for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Justin and his wife Amanda have one son in the SYF program and two daughters in the Stanwood Youth Cheer program. Justin is also a Head Coach in the SYF program and prides himself on development of football fundamentals and mindset. In addition to SYF, he also serves as President for The BeLegendary Movement, a Stanwood based non-profit organization focused on the mental health of our youth.Dustin Russell, Vice President
Dustin has coached and served on the Board of Directors for many years. Along with Scott Armstrong they head up Equipment & Uniforms for the League. Jay Bonnifield, Secretary
Jay has been involved with Stanwood football since childhood, growing up in the Stanwood-Camano area. Jay is a firefighter by trade and is married to his wife of over 10 years, Tessa. They have 4 kids: Nolan, Addy, Ethan & Parker and reside on Camano Island. Jay's biggest reason for being involved with the program is to help foster an environment where kids in our community can fall in lover with football and can build the incredible life skills the sport has to offer that will impact them in any endeavor, on or off the field. Kristi joined the board in 2023 is a mom to three boys, two of which play for Stanwood Youth Football. Kristi is also a Team Manager (Team Mom) and volunteers significantly with the program beyond her board duties. Nathan Slattery

Megan Vogel
Megan Vogel serves as an At-Large Board Member for SYF and focuses her efforts on leading our Concessions Committee. Megan and her husband Jeff (a former SYF coach who is now an Assistant Coach with the Stanwood High School football program) have three sons playing for SYF (Otto, Soren, and Ivar) and a daughter (Maria). Megan works for the Seattle law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP as a business immigration attorney representing employers and high-skilled professionals. She also serves as the Treasurer of Team Scorpion Wrestling Club and as a member of the Stewardship Advancement Committee of the Stanwood-Camano YMCA.
