This is an exceptional program for players of all skill levels. There are no try-outs and everyone participates!   

SHIFT Flag Football is owned and operated by Nickole and Charles Ali , a former National Football League (NFL) player with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals. We are an entity of Shift (Sharing Hope Impacting Families Together), a 501c3 organization founded by Nickole and Charles Ali that focuses on the transformation of oneself and family by connecting like-minded people and mentors together.

Grades 6-8

Players should register for the grade level division they will be in for the school year Summer 2025 ). We reserve the right to modify age / grade divisions based on final registration and participation. Grades are based on the school calendar (September 2 - through September 1) if you elected to hold your child back a grade, or moved them up a grade, you will need to select "VIEW MORE" and select the appropriate grade.

Games: June 1, 2025, through June 22, 2025, on Sundays

Additional items (mouthguard, gloves, socks, arm sleeves, extra flags, footballs, etc.) are available for purchase at an additional charge during the registration process.

Practices: 

Practices are held 1 hour prior to game time on Sundays. Additional practices are at the discretion of the coach and team.

 

Format:  5 v 5; Max 10 players per team

Games: 4 weeks, two per week (6 game guarantee). Games will be played on Sundays (*subject to change). Younger teams typically player early in the day, while older teams play later in the day.

Week 4 Playoff games. Top 2 teams overall based on Record as well as points scoring have 1st round byes! Single elimination after.

We can guarantee placement on a team through the registration deadline for those players have completed their registration. Registrations will not be accepted after the deadline.

We reserve the right to modify age divisions based on final team registration count.

Information such as school, buddy request, and coach request are collected during the registration process. Team placement based on this criterion is NOT guaranteed and refunds will NOT be issued based on team placement. 

If you wish to put together your own team, please contact us at [email protected] for more information and an Intent to Play application. All Intent to Play applications must be submitted no later than one week prior to the registration deadline.

If you do not have 10 players on the team you are bringing to the league, we reserve the right to fill any empty slots with another player that registered individually. 

If you wish to bring a team to the league, you must also provide the coach, assistant coach, and team parent (if applicable). Each individual team member must register online at SHIFTNFLFLAG.com prior to the registration deadline.

Our program relies on volunteers to coach and help manage our teams! We encourage anyone interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. If you are not registering a player, you may still volunteer by creating a profile on our website and register as a volunteer.

All coaches and assistant coaches must successfully pass a background check.

All communications with players, parents and volunteers, will come from SHIFT NFL Flag Football. Participants must ensure the email address provided at the time of registration, is the email address that these communications should be sent to.

Parents are responsible for communicating any anticipated absences with their coach. SHIFT NFL Flag does not allow substitute players as team sports are a commitment by each player and family to the team they are playing on. In the event a team does not have at least 5 players present to play, the team may forfeit that game.
