My name is Maddy Dillon, and I’m excited to be coaching with Bear Creek. I’ve been involved in athletics for most of my life and played softball for 15 years. I was a 12-season varsity athlete at Patapsco High School. I also went on to compete at the collegiate level, playing field hockey at Hood College.
I’m passionate about coaching because I believe in giving back to the community that helped create my own love for sports. Softball taught me so much, confidence, resilience, and the importance of supporting your teammates, and I hope to help bring that same love for the game back to our community.
My coaching philosophy centers on growth, encouragement, and effort. I want to create an environment where players feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. While skill development is important, I believe confidence, sportsmanship, and having fun are just as essential. My goal is for every player to leave the season not only a better athlete, but also with a greater appreciation for softball and being part of a team.
