Spring is quickly approaching and we are gearing up for another great soccer season.
We will hold a virtual Spring General meeting on Wednesday April 8th at 7pm, link to follow.
The season will potentially open Friday May 1, 2026, dependent on Ohio weather. This will give 9 weeks for an 8 week season, with no games being played on Saturday May 23/Sunday May 24 and Fri, Sat, Sun of July 4th weekend. Makeup games would be able to be scheduled up until July 12.
Please note we need to immediately fill vacant board positions for VP of Men and VP of Women. Consider volunteering to help NOASA best serve the Adult soccer community. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or need more information.
Couple updates on divisions, fields and fees:
There will be a questionnaire going out to Senior Men 30 DI teams to discuss potentially changing to OPEN division, voting to allow certain number of underage men on each roster, or remain 30+ league with no changes. APL is not offering an OPEN division for spring 2026, and we would like to explore offering a place for all adults to be able to play the game of soccer.
Akron Indoor Field fee has increased to $125 per game. Copley Rd/ NOASA supplied fields will remain $85 per game.
Please see the 2026 Referee Fee Form attached. We have been able to increase game coverage by stacking games on weekends and offering a competitive rate. Reminder that we offer a Referee Scholarship to new referees, and would like to host a clinic in the near future to continue to increase the number of referees locally.
