35 Select is thrilled to announce our 2025 teams. We are currently seeking boys and girls players born in 2008, 2009 and 2010 to identify for the 2025 35 Select teams:
B17U, B16U or 15U, G17U, G16U or 15U
Our planned season begins late November and runs through the end of June 2025. Our plan for all teams will mirror our top boys’ team (the 17U) from this pilot (1st) last season. Here is an example of that programming and calendar (events and dates may change):
- Winter Training (Indoor) takes place at the Dundas Dome - Spring and Summer Training (outdoor) takes place at Webster FC and Shattuck St. Mary’s – home games are played at Shattuck St. Mary’s artificial turf field.
- Weekly training starts in mid-November (about five weeks after HS Season) Three full (11v11) winter games, one each in January, February, and March (last season we played North Oaks, Rochester, and St. Cloud) - Travel to a warm weather tournament around February or March (this last season we traveled to the Copa San Antonio on Presidents Day weekend)
- Travel to a regional tournament in April (last season we traveled to Des Moines and the Iowa Rush Tournament)
- Play in a premier in-state event (last season we played in the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup and came within one game of advancing to Midwest Regionals)
- Play in a Division One league (last season we played in the Metro Alliance League, finishing in second place with a 5-2-1 record)
- Play in an end-of-season invitational (last season we played in the Lake Superior Open, going 2-1-1, including a 2-2 tie vs Tonka Fusion Elite and a win vs North United – two NPL Super 19U teams) In the soccer year, we played 26 high-level games, going 13-11-1 against premier/division one competition
We do not conduct “tryouts”; rather, we invite players based on soccer experience, personal reputation, and soccer passion and goals. We take general interest as well as recommendations from area clubs and high school varsity coaches when creating invites. Our process for this team will include sending invites soon for players to join our 35 Select teams to secure rosters.
