35 Select Welcomes New Executive and Coaching Director

Elko New Market, MN, October 25, 2024

35 Select is excited to announce the appointment of Aaron Fenton as their new Executive and Coaching Director. This marks a significant milestone in the soccer programs commitment to fostering talent and elevating the standard of soccer in our region.

Fenton is a dedicated soccer coach and leader with extensive experience in coach and player development. Aaron comes to 35 Select after serving appointments with the Lakeville Soccer Club, where he led as a Technical Director, and Eden Prairie Soccer Club, where he served as Youth Director. He also served on the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Staff. Aaron first arrived in Minnesota to serve as a US Soccer Development Academy coach at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Faribault (2015-2018).

A Texas native, Aaron began his coaching career in Kentucky at both the high school and college levels, eventually serving as the Director of Coaching at the PAO West Kentucky Soccer Club. Aaron played college soccer at Bacone College (Oklahoma), where he earned a degree in sport management. He is a USSF nationally licensed soccer coach and holds an advanced diploma, a coach developer diploma, and an advanced youth coach certificate from United Soccer Coaches, formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

In his new role with 35 Select, Aaron will oversee all coaching staff and player development programs, as well as introduce innovative training techniques and strategies to ensure that every member of 35 Select receives the highest level of guidance and support.

"I am honored to join 35 Select Soccer and look forward to contributing to the growth and success of players from the region," said Aaron. "Together, we will work towards creating a dynamic and supportive environment for our players to thrive both on and off the field." Aaron’s vision and dedication align perfectly with our program’s goals and values. 35 Select looks forward to Aaron leading and growing the program into a regional Division 1 and Premier option for the youth from communities and clubs in this region and the Southern Minnesota Soccer League.

Coach Fenton coaches for Lakeville South High School (since 2018) where he coached Loic Mesanvi a current member of Minnesota United of Major League Soccer. Aaron lives in Lakeville with his wife Alyssa and son Leo.
