Pinal Mountain Little league Parent Code of Conduct
Parents should read, understand, and sign this form prior to their children participating in our season.
Any parent guilty of improper conduct at any game or practice will be asked to leave the sports facility and be suspended from the following game. Repeat violations may cause a multiple game suspension, or the season forfeiture of the privilege of attending all games.
The essential elements of character-building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles: • Trustworthiness, • Respect, • Responsibility, • Fairness, • Caring, and • Good Citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these “six pillars of character.”
I therefore agree as a Pinal Mountain Little League parent/family member, I WILL:
- Remember that children participate to have fun
- Be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship
- Teach my child to play by the rules and resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence
- Demand that my child treats coaches, officials, and other players with respect regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or ability
- Teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning
- Praise my child for competing fairly and trying hard
- Promote the emotional and physical well being of athletes ahead of my personal desire to win
- Respect the officials and their authority during games.
- I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices unless I am one of the official coaches of the team. I also understand that I may not communicate with anyone in the dugouts.
As a Pinal Mountain Little League parent/family member, I WILL NOT:
- Force my child to participate
- Engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent
- Boo, taunt, refuse to shake hands, or use profane language
- Encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well being of athletes
- Ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for making a mistake or losing a game
- Use drugs, tobacco, or alcohol at any league event.
- Bring any animal to the premises.
- Coach my child or other players during games and practices unless I am a coach for their team.
I understand and will notify family and friends that photos of the games maybe taken and posted on the district website. If I do not want pictures of my child on the website or Facebook page, I will give a formal email requesting my child along with the team they are on to the director. However, I understand that games may be live streamed on social media and my child will be unable to be removed from live streaming.
I pledge to follow this code of conduct. One signature may represent a Family for the player.
