Please contact our Risk Manager, Alyssa Sciuto, with any questions at [email protected] . Please first make sure you are reading all the text below carefully as we have tried to spell everything out clearly. There are also extensive help guides for each section at mayouthsoccer.org --> Administrative -> Adult Registration Process

For example, this entire PDF is a step by step guide for NEW USERS who have never done a CORI or any other certification process with NYSA or MYSA. I highly recommend having this open in another tab or device and follow along to remove the guesswork or potential for mistakes.

Below is a PDF of the step by step guide for RETURNING USERS who have previously completed CORIs with NYSA or MYSA. I highly recommend having this open in another tab or device and follow along to remove the guesswork or potential for mistakes.

Requirements for coaches include:

In-Town (Tots, U6): This process should take 5 minutes and you are done. CORI and a state background check including a SORI which are completed using 1 form, color photo upload. When complete and after an in-person, socially distanced verification at a date TBD before the season, you will be provided with a lanyard that must be worn at all practices and games. See below for instructions.

In-Town U8/U10 and Travel U12/U14: CORI/SORI with color photo upload, concussion awareness training every two years and a one time abuse prevention training with subsequent 15 minute refresher courses each year.  Our CORI/Risk Manager, Alyssa Sciuto, will be checking the database frequently to print new lanyards for this season. When complete and after an in-person verification at a date TBD before the season, you will be provided with a lanyard that must be worn at all practices and games. You only need to be in-person verified once as long as you do not have a legal name change. If you do not complete the requirements, you will not be given a lanyard. Remember- the U12 and U14 referees will ask you to leave the sideline, if not the entire field, if you do not have the required credentials.

ALL LEVELS VOLUNTEERS- PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. ALL COACHES AND ASSISTANT COACHES MUST COMPLETE THESE STEPS. Mass Youth Soccer has changed their platform for adult registration (again) back to the Affinity System. If you have previously registered to volunteer using the Affinity System from prior years or using last years Stack Sports platform, your information has been migrated over.

  1. NYSA Registration- please complete the volunteer form located here.

  2. MYSA Adult Registration- all coaches and assistant coaches must register every single year with Mass Youth Soccer by submitting a CORI/SORI form. The system will detect if you still have a valid CORI/SORI or if a new one will be initiated. Cut and paste this link to register and complete your CORI form by following the steps below. https://secure.sportsaffinity.com/reg/index.asp?sessionguid=&domain=ma%2Dcori%2Eaffinitysoccer%2Ecom

    1. Click Register Now

    2. NEW USERS who have never registered with MYSA through Affinity or Stack Sports, click CREATE AN ACCOUNT

    3. RETURNING USERS- enter your email and password associated with your prior account. If you can’t remember your password, enter your email from your prior registrations and click forgot password.

    4. For RETURNING USERS- if your name comes up more than once, SELECT THE ONE WITH YOUR DATE OF BIRTH.

    5. Follow the steps to complete the form and upload a photo.

    6. Print your verification form and save it for when we have an in-person verification, socially distanced meeting before the season starts. For returning coaches, if you have already been in-person verified and have not had a name change, you DO NOT need to be in-person verified again. All volunteers coaching Tots-U14 who have never been in-person verified will need to attend an upcoming appointment. A few dates will be given prior to the season starting. Attendance at one meeting will be mandatory. The process takes only a few minutes.

    7. To check the status of your registration or to print your form if you forgot, use the same log in credentials to log in to the member portal here: https://ma-adultinfo.affinitysoccer.com  If you need to print your verification form, log into your account, click on Applications, then Receipts and Forms for the 2021-2022 season.

Be sure you have selected the correct season- Fall 2023-Spring 2024 on the Home Page. Click My Account and then Certificates to access the status of your Concussion Training and SafeSport Abuse Prevention Training. Read the text on the Certificates page very carefully as it has important information and links r elated to your next steps.

  1. Concussion Training FIRST TIME AND EXPIRED: If you have never taken the concussion training or if your current certificate will expire at any point before June 30, 2024 (two years from the date on your certificate), you will need to take the training again. MYSA has created EXTREMELY detailed instructions on how to create a new CDC account (required) and complete the 30 minute course, Heads Up For Coaches. This course can be started and resumed as needed. There is however, no way to rewind. If you get distracted, press “pause,” or you will have to start that lesson over again (each lesson is 1-3 minutes). When complete, please download the PDF of your certificate and upload it into your account to be verified by the Risk Manager or President. The link to the very detailed instructions is on the Certificate page and linked below. I highly recommend either printing out the instructions, having them open in a separate tab, or having them open on a different device for easy access as the process to set up your account is unfortunately complicated. The course itself is a breeze.  https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/pdfs/youthsports/Create_an_Account_CDC-TRAIN_HEADSUP.pdf

  1. Concussion Training valid through June 30th, 2024: You will need to upload the PDF of your valid certificate if it did not migrate over to your Affinity account. Once uploaded, the Risk Manager or President will verify it.

  1. SafeSport Abuse Training FIRST TIME: If you have never taken the SafeSport Abuse Prevention Training, you will need to cut and paste the link and access code on the Certificates page and create an account to take this one time online course. This training is about 90 minutes long and can be stopped and resumed as needed. This training contains extremely sensitive topics; please be aware of the audience who may also be listening in the room. When complete, this certificate will automatically load into your account within one day. Help Guide: https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/assets/61/6/safesport_abuse_prevention_training_help_guide_2022.pdf

  1. SafeSport Abuse Training REFRESHER: If you have previously completed this training, it will automatically be in your Affinity account. You will just need to complete the 15 minute "Refresher" course relating to what year you are in of the cycle (e.g., Year 2 = Refresher 1, Year 3 = Refresher 2, Year 4 = Refresher 3, Year 5 = start the whole course again). The correct course will be the only one available to begin once you sign back in. The links and access codes are provided and your completion will be automatically updated on your account. Help guide: https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/assets/61/6/safesport_abuse_prevention_training_help_guide_2022.pdf
