Parents of players “Little League” Age 4: you must sign your player up for Tee Ball.

Parents of players “Little League” Age 5: you may sign your player up for Tee Ball or Rookie (but all 1st-year players who are 5 years old should sign up for Tee Ball).

Parents of players “Little League” Age 6: you may sign your player up for Rookie and they will be automatically placed in that division.  If you would like to sign them up for the AAA Division, they will participate in Evaluations and will then be placed on either a Rookie team or a AAA team, based on the league’s decision.

Parents of players “Little League” Age 7: you may sign your player up for Rookie or AAA, and they will be placed in that division.  If you would like your child to try out for Minors, they will participate in Evaluations and then will be assigned to a Division, based on the league’s draft process/league’s decision.  Please note: We anticipate that MOST 7 year olds WILL NOT play Minors.

Parents of players “Little League” Age 8: you may sign your player up for AAA or Minors. If you sign up for AAA, they will be placed in that Division.  If you sign up for Minors, they will participate in Evaluations, and then be assigned to a division, based on the league’s draft process.

Please note: players who sign up for Minors (a “Competitive” Division”), but who then are placed on a “Developmental” team will receive a refund for the difference in registration fees.

Parents of players Little League Age 9-12: Please sign your child up for “Competitive” and they will participate in Evaluations and then be drafted into Minors, Intermediate or Majors.  Please note: ALL 12 years will play Majors* and MOST 11 year olds will be Intermediates.  ALL 10 year olds will play Intermediates*.

*If you have a 10 year old who would like to play Minors, please email [email protected] to ask RHLL for a safety exemption.  If you have a 12 year old who would like to play Intermediates, please email [email protected] to ask RHLL for a safety exemption.*

For players who sign up for a division that requires Evaluations, the league’s draft system and Player Development/Division Coordinators will determine which division your child plays in and all league decisions and team placements are final.

A detailed description of each division can be found HERE
