HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT for AYFCL 2024 SEASON….
PRE-SEASON
REGISTER ONLINE – NEW! MANDATORY! Parents/Guardian will complete registration information and pay online! A spot will be secured once all the required documents are uploaded.
MARCH 11, 2024
Early Bird Registration is March 11, 2024 to March 31, 2024. If your participant has a complete EARLY Bird Registration, they will be eligible for a SWAG Drawing during Heck Week
PHYSICAL DAYS(S) – NEW! Bring your kid to the scheduled physical night(s) to complete the sports physical form required by CCYFL to participate in the league.

GREYHOUND CAMP – RETURNING! Run by Atascadero Highschool (AHS). Both football and cheer can learn from high school players. This is optional for an additional cost.
FUNDRAISERS – NEW! MANDATORY! As a non-profit organization our league relies on fundraisers and sponsors, this year it will be mandatory for each player/cheer participant sell a minimum of 5 CASH CALENDARS!

FAMILY 2 HOUR PARTICIPATION REQIREMENT – NEW! MANDATORY! In order for our league to be successful and run efficiently, we need YOUR HELP!
Effective the 2024 season we are requiring all families to donate TWO HOURS of volunteer time or Donate $100. Volunteering can be in the concession stand, prepping fields, team parent, helping with fundraisers, there will be several options available.
Look for this in sports connect. Should you just want to donate the $100 the option to do so will be available in sports connect.
SEASON BEGINS 7/19/2024
CONDITIONING – MANDATORY! Offered for two weeks, Monday – Friday 5pm – 7pm(times maybe subject to change).
Each player is required to participate in a minimum of 10 hours (5 days, 2 hours each day) of conditioning – but players are strongly encouraged to participate each day for the full two weeks.
CLINIC WEEK - JULY 22, 2024 – JULY 26, 2024 - PALOMA CREEK PARK 5pm -7pm ALL DIVISIONS
HECK WEEK - JULY 29,2024 - AUGUST 2, 2024 - PALOMA CREEK PARK 5pm -7pm ALL DIVISIONS
- NOTE – yes, this always conflict with the fair and 4H – please work with other families and the league for carpooling and scheduling to complete the required hours.
- PHYSICALS MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO JULY 22, 2024 or PARTICIPANTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE
PRACTICES BEGIN – Practices will be scheduled by each team’s head coach. Practices are mandatory, and missing practices may impact the players ability to play in the game due to safety concerns. Practices are generally 3-4 days per week for 2 hours per day (generally from 5pm-7pm, but the exact schedule will be set by each Head Coach).
Cheer squads will typically practice on the same days as their football team, but the exact schedule will be set by each Cheer Coach.
AUGUST 5, 2024
WEIGH-IN – MANDATORY! This is a one-day event that ALL football players MUST attend to get their official weight. Players that are above the set weight limit will be “yellow striped” which means they are restricted to certain positions.

CHEER CAMP – MANDATORY! All Cheerleaders must attend one to two days of cheer camp depending on their age and skill level to participate in the league. This is an important skills training. Cost is included in registration.
AUGUST 17, 2024 – AUGUST 18,2024
JAMBOREE – Generally the first Saturday after conditioning. Multiple cities will get together for game scrimmages. This is a great scrimmage day for players, coaches, referees, and volunteers!
AUGUST 24, 2024
GAMES – Games are every Saturday beginning in early August through October. If the team advances to playoffs, games can last through the end of November. CCYFL includes cities from Paso Robles to Santa Ynez.
CCYFL will prepare the game schedule. Home games are typically held at Atascadero High School. There will typically be 4 home games and 4 away games. Please note it is possible for there to be a lopsided number of Home/Away games, or a Home Game played at a different field.
