Board Meeting

The South Austin Optimist Little League Board of Directors will meet on May 15, 2025 at 6:30pm at the SAO clubhouse at 6100 Menchaca Rd. The Board is interested in filling board positions that are important in furthering our goal of providing an excellent baseball experience to our members and our visiting teams. Please consider serving as a Board Member for the South Austin Optimist Little League. The Board will consider the following proposed agenda and potentially other matters of importance.

Agenda

Call Meeting to Order, Establish Quorum
Review and Amend and/or Approve Minutes from 4-11-25 board meeting
Ratification of actions previously adopted by the board
Director reports (each Director will have 2 minutes to report on pertinent information regarding her/his area of responsibility)
President’s report (President will have 2 minutes and such additional time as needed to present information of concern to all, such as district or state Little League updates and SAO information)
Appointment of board members to new positions previously approved; motion for approval required on an action item
Discussion of the feasibility of developing or hiring umpires or any such alternative suggestions
Discussion of coach access to critical things and places
Discussion regarding feasibility or necessity of a mid-season coaches meeting
Member Communication (each member 3 minute time limit)
New Business
1. Silent Auction/raffle fundraiser
2. Planning for Fall Ball Registration (held over from April 11 meeting)
