Torrington PAL's annual golf camp is back! Our golf camp offers young golfers new and experienced the perfect opportunity to learn and improve their golf skills in a fun and supportive environment. Campers will receive expert instruction on all aspects of the game, from the fundamentals of swing mechanics to putting, chipping, and course etiquette.

Torrington PAL is excited to launch our very first Robotics Camp — an engaging and hands-on experience designed to introduce students to the world of robotics, technology, engineering, and innovation.

Throughout the week, campers will work with experienced instructors while learning the fundamentals of robotics, coding, problem-solving, teamwork, and design. Participants will take part in interactive activities and challenges that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning as they explore how robotics and technology are shaping the future.

In addition to building and programming robotic projects, campers will also have the unique opportunity to experience live demonstrations and interactions with advanced, high-end robots. These exciting demonstrations will allow participants to see cutting-edge robotics technology in action while learning about real-world applications in engineering, automation, and STEM careers.

Our Robotics Camp is designed for students of all experience levels — whether they are completely new to robotics or already have a strong interest in technology and engineering. The camp provides a fun, supportive, and energetic environment where students can learn new skills, collaborate with peers, and build confidence through innovation and discovery.

We are excited to bring this new opportunity to the community and look forward to an unforgettable week of learning, creativity, and hands-on robotics experiences!

The Torrington PAL Make the Play Basketball Camp is back for another exciting summer! This camp is designed to help players of all skill levels build confidence, improve their basketball abilities, and enjoy the game in a fun and positive environment.

Throughout the week, campers will receive comprehensive instruction from experienced coaches and staff, with a strong focus on basketball fundamentals including ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork, defense, teamwork, and overall game awareness. Participants will take part in targeted drills, skill stations, competitions, and daily activities aimed at helping each player continue to grow and develop their game. Each day will also feature exciting scrimmages and live game play, giving campers the opportunity to apply what they have learned in real basketball situations while building teamwork and sportsmanship. In addition to skill development, our goal is to create an energetic and supportive atmosphere where players can compete, make new friends, and have a great experience both on and off the court.

Whether your child is newer to basketball or looking to continue sharpening their skills, the Make the Play Basketball Camp offers a fun and rewarding week of learning, competition, and growth. We look forward to another great summer of basketball!

Unlock your potential and explore the exciting world of skilled trades at the Oliver Wolcott Technical High School Trades Camp! This hands-on, week-long program is designed exclusively for entering 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in learning more about future career pathways in technical education and the skilled trades.

Throughout the week, campers will rotate through a variety of interactive shop experiences led by experienced instructors from Oliver Wolcott Tech. Students will get a firsthand look at programs such as automotive technology, construction trades, electrical, culinary arts, manufacturing, and more. Each session is designed to be engaging and hands-on, allowing campers to actively participate in real-world skill building activities.

In addition to hands-on learning, students will explore what it’s like to attend a technical high school, learn about different career opportunities in the trades, and gain insight into how these skills translate into in-demand, high-paying careers after graduation. The goal is to help students discover their interests, strengths, and future possibilities in a supportive and exciting environment.

The PAL Summer Basketball Program is a competitive opportunity designed for athletes at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels who have previously participated in Torrington basketball programs, including Torrington High School (THS), Oliver Wolcott Technical School (OWTS), PAL Travel teams.

The league will begin the week of June 22nd and will be held at the Torrington Armory.

Please note that this is a dedicated Summer Basketball program and differs from our PAL Make The Play Basketball Camp. We look forward to a rewarding season with our invited athletes!
