Please take a few minutes to fill out the registration form to manage a team at SKELL, through the Volunteer Opportunities Page. Please let us know what you have to bring to our league as a manager and why you would like to manage a team at SKELL.
The Little League® manager must be a leader. All must recognize that they hold a position of trust and responsibility in a program that deals with a sensitive and formative period of a child’s development.
It is required that the manager have understanding, patience and the capacity to work with children. The manager should be able to inspire respect. Above all else, managers must realize that they are helping to shape the physical, mental and emotional development of young people.
The Little League manager must be something more than just a teacher. Knowledge of the game is essential but it is not the only badge of a Little League manager.
As a team manager, you will also be responsible to schedule your practices, from the date and locations given by the league. The manager will communicate with your divisional General Manager if there are questions regarding local league rules or other Little League rules. They will need to follow the weekly rotation of the field maintenance schedule and communicate with the divisional GM, if there are scheduling concerns. The manager will designate two coaches to work with them and will need to have a team parent to communicate information to the team. During the games only the manager will be the communication with umpires. Additional concerns or problems will be brought to the SKELL President and Vice President.
If you would like to assist a team and help as a coach, please notify the manager of your child's team after your team has been formed
