I am excited to announce that Darren Gallagher will be stepping into the role of Senior Men's Director of Coaching, overseeing the U15-U19 boys. 

Darren Gallagher recently finished his first season as the team operations manager for FC Cincinnati in the 2018 USL season and since has transitioned to the technical staff as a scouting manager while FC Cincinnati begins their 2019 expansion season in Major League Soccer.  Prior to FCC, Gallagher was working for United Soccer League affiliate, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks who compete in the West division, where he was the director of soccer operations and assistant general manager. 

Prior to his experience at the professional level, Gallagher has 14 seasons of men's and women's college (NCAA DII, DIII, NJCAA) coaching under his belt along with 12 years of club coaching and administrative experience.  He has coached higher level teams in the Midwest Regional League with NEW United (2006-2009), Cutters Soccer Club (2010-2011), and Jr. Irish Soccer Club (2011-2013).  Most recently he was the Director of Coaching Seniors Colorado Rush Pikes Peak - and College Advisory Program Director 2013-2016. 

While playing soccer at UW-Oshkosh from 2001-04, the defender helped the Titans to a 59-13-6 record and three NCAA Division III postseason appearances. In 2003, the Mukwonago High School graduate was a starter on the back line of a UW-Oshkosh defense that allowed 8 goals; including 16 shutouts with a 21-1 overall record. The 2003 squad posted an impressive 21-1 record and advanced to the Final Four round of the NCAA Division III Championship.  In 2007 Gallagher returned to join legendary college coach, Toby Bares' coaching staff and in six years combined as a player and assistant the program tallied an impressive 87-21-9 record, reaching the NCAA playoffs four times, advancing to the Sweet 16 in 2007.  The 2008 recruiting class, which Gallagher was the lead recruiter, returned the program to it's fourth trip to the NCAA Final Four in 2010. 

A member of United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) since 2007, Gallagher has already earned his USSF National "B" License, NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma, and his National Youth License. Gallagher received his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from UW-Oshkosh in 2006 and earned a master's degree in Educational Leadership in 2009.  Darren resides in Cincinnati with his wife, Kristen and their little girl, Macky.
