TFA will proudly send two teams to the US Youth Soccer National Championship in Overland, Kansas this summer. The TFA G01 Elite girls, coached by Jay Kiley, won the U18 Girls White Division with a game in hand, to secure their second straight trip to the National Championship. Having finished third last year, the U18 girls look to improve upon that finish. The TFA G05 Elite girls, coached by Erik Schoening, didn’t concede a goal in their final 6 matches, on their way to winning the U14 Girls White Division.
Coach Schoening had this to say: ”It is such a testament to our organization that we are able to send two teams to the prestigious National Championship. Each team will be one of sixteen teams per age group that will have an opportunity to win our sport's highest honor. What makes our club successful, is the buy-in we receive from all facets of the club: players, parents, coaching staff, administrators. Over the last couple of years, we, as an organization, have worked tirelessly to play “The TFA Way.” Our success in the National League is a testament to this club-wide directive”.
Nineteen teams from Ohio South started National League play for the 2018-2019 campaign. Only two teams qualified for the National Championship: TFA G05 Elite and TFA G01 Elite. Total Futbol Academy is only one of three clubs in the National League to qualify two teams.
