The GPS Delaware Revolution are pleased to announce a series of FREE soccer clinics specifically for female players only at the MTown Sports Complex and Delaware Sports Complex.
The first of the clinics will be a four week program for girls born in the 2008-2005 age groups. These sessions will include age specific programming in a fun, educational and high energy environment. The clinics will include technical and fundamental training which will relate to in game situations. Every session will end with the players being challenged in small sided games which will develop on the technical theme of that week’s session. These sessions are aimed at players either currently playing Travel Soccer or looking to play in the upcoming 2017/2018 season.
The second clinic will also be a four week program and will be catered to girls born in the 2004-2001 age groups. These sessions will be age specific and will focus on a variety of aspects of soccer which are relevant to 9v9 and 11v11 soccer. The clinics will include technical training such as passing and receiving to play towards goal, developing possession, combination play and shooting. Every session will end with players being challenged in a small sided game which will build upon the technical theme of the session. These sessions are aimed at players currently participating in travel soccer and also players looking to prepare correctly for the upcoming High School Soccer season.
All Sessions will be led by GPS staff with a background in training through the Bayern Munich training model.
The sessions will run every Thursday from 3/9 through 3/30 with the 08-05 age groups running from 6-7 p.m. and the 04-01 age groups running from 7-8 p.m. All sessions will be held at the indoor turf field at MTown Soccer Complex or the Delaware Sports Complex outdoor fields (Weather dependent). Spaces are limited to 20 players per clinic and will be processed on a first come first served basis.
