6/7/20 - Letter to Parents about the Fall Soccer program status
Dear PHWM Soccer Parents and Players,
We hope you have remained safe and healthy during this health crisis, as we all continue to deal with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. The health and safety of our youth soccer community remains of utmost importance.
PHWM Soccer (Perry Hall and White Marsh Recreation Councils) is fully committed to providing the PHWM soccer community a Fall 2020 recreation soccer season. The season will only be possible if it is allowed by the State of Maryland, Baltimore County and Baltimore County Recreation and Parks. There are many changes in the coronavirus pandemic restrictions from the State of Maryland and Baltimore County in the past few weeks. Changes directly affecting organized youth sports, is to allow skills and fitness training with social distancing and limited to 10 persons in a group. There are many other requirements to have children back on the fields and for organized youth sports programs to get a permit to use a field.
Evaluating the current restrictions, registration for the Fall season
is still on hold
. We will monitor the weekly changes of the restrictions that would allow PHWM Soccer to foresee the fall season running and than registration will be opened. Email notification and information will be posted on the PHWM Soccer and Recreation Councils websites when registration does opened. An additional waiver for COVID-19 will be part of the registration process. For your information see this
waiver link
for the Baltimore County Recreation and Parks waiver form.
PHWM Soccer program is reviewing a few different format scenarios for the fall season because of assumed coronavirus return to play requirements. Information will be posted and communicated when registration is opened.
