GCA Field ready!!

Legend SC Reflection -

Today I was lining our first game field at the GCA, and the whole time, I had a big smile on my face. Maybe it was the sound track of Gladiator, the Metallica and Eminem I was jamming to, but really, it was the dream of making LEGEND SC, Licking County's first choice for soccer. I had people I knew to include previous players honking their horns as they drove by while I pushed the paint liner.

Tommorrow, our U10 Boys Black team christens the Granville Christian Academy's lower soccer complex with our first official game since the fields were redone. I big shout out to the men and women that made this happen:

Woody Struthers - superb dozer work, and loaning LexMark spray and mowing equipment

Mike Brennamen and Granville Lawn and Landscape for mowing the entire complex. Very professionally done!

Marvin Rutter and the staff at Springhills Baptist Church, a blessing to help us with promoting soccer.

Brent and Melanie Sodegren for tilling and seeding the lower fields last August. Outstanding job! Even if he's a Michigan fan...GO BLUE and GO BUCKS!

Lastly, my brothers in Soccer, Scott Forster, Andy Buck and Doug Nolan for perservering through the growing pains of a new club. Thanks fellas!
