Why the name, "Legend Soccer?"
Our club name is "LEGEND" SOCCER CLUB. Licking County is known as the "Land of Legend" and we wanted to pay homage to our community. Some definitions of "legend"
noun
1. a nonhistorical or unverifiable story handed down by tradition from earlier times and popularly accepted as historical.
2. the body of stories of this kind, especially as they relate to a particular people, group, or clan: the winning of the West in American legend.
3. an inscription, especially on a coat of arms, on a monument, under a picture, or the like.
At Legend Soccer, we want to become soccer's household name in Licking and east central Ohio. Stories of players that have come through the club and gone on to greater things in high school and college, or just a positive experience a young boy or girl receives through the club is just a few of our objectives. Kids will understand that working hard can pay dividends in improving themselves while playing a team sport.
