Sports related injuries and concussions are of serious concern in California and to the City of Ripon. Currently, State law requires that the City provide a copy of the Concussion and Head Injury Information sheet to each athlete and ensure it is signed by the athlete and the athlete’s parent or guardian each year before the athlete starts practice or competition. Athletes and parents or guardians should review the information and discuss the risks of concussion and other serious brain injury.
