All players must be of age by August 31 of the Pee Wee sport year.  For example, the 2023-24 Pee Wee year runs August 1, 2023 - July 31, 2024. A player's Pee Wee Age for all sports within the 2023-24 Pee Wee year (2023 Football, 2024 Basketball and 2024 Baseball) is their age on August 31, 2023.

How much is registration?
Registration for Baseball is $175 for D, C, B string, and Coach Pitch, $125 for T-ball (price includes jersey for D, C and B, shirt for Coach Pitch and T-ball). We also offer multiple player discounts which are applied at checkout.

What does my registration fee go towards?
Because we are a non-profit organization our sports programs run solely on your registrations! Your registration's help pay for field rentals, sport equipment, insurance fees, official fees, field maintenance, lavatory facilities and game jerseys which you get to keep!

Can we register in person? Where?

Of course! You may attend our in-person registration on Saturday, February 17th & 24th from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Carpenter Field Clubhouse (905 Warren Avenue). However because our registration and team management system is web based we do require that you have a valid email address to register.

Do you offer any scholarships for players?

Yes we do, but because we factor our scholarships into our seasonal budget and registration fees we only have a limited amount of scholarships available on a case by case basis. You may request for scholarship info by contacting our registrar prior to March 30th.

When do practices begin?
Practices begin mid March. Practice days can vary between 2-4 days a week and is dependent on the coach's discretion. A coach will contact you with specific details in regards to your locations, time and days of the week. From previous experience, coaches normally prefer their players to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled practice time for warm ups.

Where are practices and games located?
We typically practice at Crownhill Elementary, West Hills STEM, Naval Avenue Elementary, Mt. View Middle School and Carpenter Field. Our home games are played at Crownhill Elementary.

What should we provide?

Below the knee or full length gray baseball pants, royal blue socks, royal blue belt, rubber molded cleats, and a baseball mitt. Although we typically find that players tend to bring their own baseball bats, we also provide at least 1-2 bats in our team equipment bags for those who don't. Hats are available for purchase at our concession stand. Players are offered a discounted price.

How long is the season?

Our Baseball program takes place during the spring time (mid March) and ends at the start of summer (mid June).

Is my child able to play up/down?

Requests to "play down" are rare and made on a case by case basis. These cases are to be presented to the Warren Avenue Board and also to Central Council at one of the KPAPWA meetings which take place normally every first Wednesday @ 8pm, located at Sheridan Parks & Recreation Center. Central Council is the deciding factor in all play down requests. We do allow players to "play up" but highly encourage that players stay within their string level determined by the Pee Wee age bracket. "Play up" requests are to be made to the registrar, coordinator and/or head coach and will be reviewed by the Warren Avenue board for approval.

How can I volunteer?
You may volunteer for one or more of our roles available upon registration. Coaches and helpers that will be interacting with players during practices and/or games are required to fill out a Coaches Pledge, WSP Background Check, and take the online Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification course. Documentation and course links are provided in the "Baseball Docs" section of this page.
