Closing Program and AWARDS

Hello SJBS Families-

It’s hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the season. Thank you for your continued support of the program. Here are a few announcements:

Closing Day is Saturday, June 1^st, 2019

• Program start time will be at 9 AM (Information will be provided to coaches for staging area and order of events). Whereas this might not be as big a celebration as the opening day would normally be, we still find it very important to recognize the accomplishments of the 2019 season.
• SJBS will distribute season participation awards to all ages and divisions at Leonard Park East Diamond. All teams and sponsors will be announced and thanked for their participation/support.
• SJBS will be recognizing several individuals. Including our top Fundraiser for 2019 season.

Voting for Board of Directors Officers

• We will also nominate and vote for officers for the 2020 season during our closing program. Here are a list of positions on our board (and the names of those who currently hold the position). A brief job description of each role can be found in your league email. All board members must attend a planned monthly meeting. If you would like to nominate yourself to be added to the ballot, please respond to this email with your name and desired position by or before May 28th. We will open nominations during the closing program too. We are looking for engaged parents to step into some of these roles:

§  Vice President, Softball (Kendra Pinkley)

§  Secretary/League Information Officer (Deidra Miller)

§  Treasurer (Jennifer Outlaw)

§  Director of Concessions (Matt Golden)

§  Director of All-Stars/District/Elite Programs (Steve Bishop)

All parents within the program are welcome (and encouraged) to participate in the nomination/voting process.
