August Meeting Minutes

The August Meeting was called to order at 7:05, accepted by Vickie, seconded by Deb.
Treasure's meetings were prepared and read by Coleen, accepted by Candy seconded by Katie.
Treasure's report was prepared by Laurie, read by Rick, accepted by Rick, seconded by Coleen.
President's Report:
Congratulations to this season's winning teams, Juniors- Alley Cats, second place Angels, Middle- Panthers, second place Eaglets, Seniors Elks, second place Cougars. Thank you all to coming to watch the play offs and championship series'. It was great softball!
Walk a thon- Raised over $500. The Dolls were the team with most donations winning a pizza party. Thanks to everyone who participated in this event.
Paw Sox- It was a great experience for the girls who came to the game, what a thrill being announced on the field.
One Pitch- Great turn out, many players, family and friends participated in this each week. Tons of laughs and fun was had by all.
Wiffle ball tournament- This event was organized by past players in remembrance for their mothers, Joyce Kuplast and Barbara Lawton Miguel. The Katie Lavey Scholarship will receive a portion of their proceeds. This tournament was fun and full of laughter. The girls will be hosting this again next year. Keep an eye on our website for information on how you can participate.
Banquet-Friday September 15, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick RI. Doors open at 6, dinner at 6:30. On line ticket reservation will be open on 8/7/17, a mailing to follow. In person ticket reservation will be at Park View 9/9 for 11-1. Due to the Pampered Chef fundraiser earlier in the season, ticket prices for the players were reduced to $10. $20 for all others in attendence. We are looking for donations of any raffle items. Please keep in mind these items should be family friendly.
Coaches, please get your team article and MVP to Tammy by Friday, 8/25 so it will be included in this season's yearbook.
