What Has EYBO Been Up To? Months of Work Now Complete at Aaron Park

If you’ve been around Aaron Park lately, you’ve probably noticed some big changes. Over the past several months, the Eclectic Youth Ball Organization has been working through a major set of improvements focused on two things that matter to every family on game day: fencing and parking. We’re excited to share that these projects are now fully complete.

A Project Built on Planning (and Patience)
Projects like this don’t happen overnight—they take months of preparation, planning, and coordination. EYBO worked through the proposal process with the Town of Eclectic and kept pushing forward step-by-step to make these upgrades a reality. Here’s how it came together:

July 21: EYBO brought a proposal to the Town of Eclectic Council to clear land for more parking and build a new fence at the ballfields. That night, the Town approved an additional $10,000 to be moved into the park budget—bringing the total allocation for Aaron Park improvements to $26,000.

July 28 (Special Called Meeting): The Council approved the land clearing, but not the fence work at that time. Second Special Called Meeting: The fence project was approved and awarded to the lowest bidder out of four bids, Stepney Fence & Deck—who generously donated over $4,000 in labor toward the project.

What’s New (and Complete!)
Parking Expansion
The land clearing work created approximately 150 new parking spaces at the ballfields—an upgrade that will help reduce congestion and improve safety for families arriving and leaving.

Fencing Improvements
The new fencing is complete and will help improve safety, organization, and field flow for players, coaches, and fans.

Huge Thanks to the Partners Who Made It Happen!
This kind of progress takes a community, and we want to say a sincere thank you to: The Town of Eclectic Council for supporting these improvements at Aaron Park, Stepney Fence & Deck for donating over $4,000 in labor, and Southern Excavating LLC for donating the land clearing work that had been budgeted at $7,500!

Why It Matters These upgrades aren’t just “nice to have.” They directly support our mission of bettering our youths’ opportunities by improving the environment where they practice, compete, and make memories. We’re proud of the progress, grateful for the support, and excited for the season ahead. Thanks for being part of EYBO—and we can’t wait to see everyone back at the ballpark!
