To the Hunter Cyprus Community,
I am super excited to celebrate 66 years of baseball with you as we begin the season shortly. As a child, I played at Hunter/Cyprus and its exciting to be a part of it today in a different capacity. The values that I learned playing the great sport of baseball I have carried with me throughout my life. Hunter/Cyprus is a place for the community to come together to provide a safe place for the kids to take part in the greatest sport on the planet. While we are currently in a pandemic, I can assure you we are doing everything our power to provide a safe place for the kids to play.
With that being said, I am excited to announce that I will donate 5 scholarships, one in each age group, to underprivileged families who cannot afford to be a part of this special 66th season at Hunter/Cyprus. These scholarships will include the price to play and any of the basic equipment needed to get out there and enjoy being a kid again. Whether it’s a glove, batting gloves, cleats or all the above, it will be included in the scholarship. The only caveat is I’ll need your honesty. Just provide a short snapshot of why your child deserves this scholarship to our email [email protected] as well as fill out the questionnaire. An announcement of who was awarded these scholarships will be announced shortly after.
I appreciate you all as we get through navigate through this pandemic. I can assure you the Hunter/Cyprus Board is working hard each day to make sure we maker this season one of the best yet. On behalf of the Hunter/Cyprus Board, we appreciate all of you and if we can do anything for you or your families, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Respectfully,
Noah Yarbrough
Hunter/Cyprus Baseball President
