Little League is pleased to announce a new addition to our local baseball community– The Challenger Division! 

The Challenger Program gives kids in our community with a wide range of disabilities a chance to participate in a team sport alongside their neighbors and friends from school.

The fundamental goal of the Friday Harbor Challenger Little League is to provide an opportunity for individuals with intellectual and physical challenges to enjoy the benefits of Little League in an environment structured to their abilities. Individuals ages 4-21 (if still enrolled in school) can participate in the FH Challenger Little League.

Teams are made up of all ages and skill levels. Games are non-competitive and focus on developing a love of baseball.

Challenger players will be supported during games through the help of volunteer buddies. The buddies will assist the Challenger players on the field, but whenever possible, encourage the players to bat and make plays themselves. We expect this to be a great experience for both our Challenger Players and our community volunteers.

We have roughly 8 games per season. Our teams play typically on Sunday afternoons. Our games consist of two innings and each child gets a chance at bat. The emphasis is on fun!
