The New York State Little League Championship Tournament, part of the Little League World Series Tournament will be held July 22nd through July 27th in Staten Island, New York. Sectional winners from eight regions of the State will compete for the New York State title. The winner will move on to the Mid-Atlantic Regionals in Bristol, Connecticut.
Great Kills Little League
The Great Kills Little League was founded and chartered in 1953. In their 71 year history they have won the NY State title in 2011 and played in the Regionals. In 2018 the 10-year-old All Stars won the East Region Championship. The League also boasts one of the largest Challenger programs in New York State.The GKLL Complex is in the heart of Great Kills at 26 Kennington Street. It highlights newly renovated turf fields, a digital scoreboard, a full-size concession stand and an indoor practice facility with batting cages inside and outside.Robert Pascale, President, the Board of the Directors, and the entire League welcome you to District 24, Staten Island. This year’s event is the second of a three-year agreement. Along with this year’s co-host, the South Shore Little League, our goal is to make this Tournament the most memorable experience for the players, their families, and our community as well as everyone who attends the games.
South Shore Little League
The South Shore Little League was founded and chartered in 1955. In their impressive 68-year history they have been to the World Series in Williamsport three times, in 1985, 1991 and in 2009. They also were the 10-year-old New York State Champions in 2019 and 2022. In addition to competing, they hosted the 2011 games.The SSLL Complex is located on the south shore of Staten Island at 243 Bedell Ave. It highlights turf fields, batting cages, a concession stand and it features a stadium where the games including the Championship game will be played.Vinny Nichilo, President, the Board of Directors, and the entire League welcome you to this year’s Tournament.
