About Us
Welcome to Township Little League! As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we proudly provide players aged 4 to 16 with a supportive, fun, and inclusive place to enjoy the games of Baseball and Softball. Our league is comprised of Township Baseball, Pittston Area Little League Softball, and Pittston Area Jr/Sr Teeners.
In 2024, we celebrated 50 incredible years as a league—an achievement made possible by our amazing community and the support of Little League International. We’re committed to upholding old-school values like respect, dedication, and humility. Our goal isn’t just to help our athletes succeed on the field, but to equip them with life lessons that resonate beyond the diamond.
We know that life can throw curveballs, so we offer resources and information to help our league families navigate challenges both on and off the field. We prioritize family, support, and team bonding, and we hope every player and parent feels like they’ve found a second home here.
At Township Little League, we believe in creating an atmosphere where every child has the chance to play, grow, and thrive. We offer financial assistance to ensure that no family is turned away due to financial barriers. Families needing assistance can reach out to Vice President of Baseball, Joelle Martinelli discreetly at

Little League® Baseball and Softball has a remarkable history, dating back to 1939 when Carl E. Stotz of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, gathered 30 players and three teams for the very first season. Stotz envisioned a youth program that would teach sportsmanship and resilience—values that still guide us today. What started with a neighborhood dream has grown into a global movement involving millions of players across six continents.
Whether it’s a first T-ball hit or a big championship game, we’re here to celebrate every milestone.
Thank you for being part of our story!
