REGISTRATION:
Cheer Registration runs from February 20th and will close on July 1st. We do not have a maximum number of athletes allowed on a team.
Team placement is determined by grade/age by the director and coordinator. Due to competition rules and the time that will be needed to order uniforms no exceptions will be made to our registration process.
REGISTRATION FEE:
Our Registration Fee has increased to $150 this season!
Cheer Registration fee will cover: Competition music and fees, makeup, cheer socks, a game day and competition bow, end of the year award and 1 banquet ticket. Payment Plans will be available this season! Full payment must be received before July 22nd to participate. Please contact Cheer Commissioner Ally Alverson for payment plan inquiries!
VOLUNTEER FEE:
Each year we charge a $50 refundable volunteer fee, once you volunteer at a football game or NWAA Cheer fundraiser, we will return your payment! This organization is run on volunteers, we appreciate truly your help! The more volunteers we receive each season at fundraisers and home games, the more our coaches attention stays solely on our athletes!
UNIFORMS:
Uniform rental is included in the cost of registration. ALL participants are required to attend a uniform fitting.
All Cheerleaders will be required to purchase a warm up and sneakers through our distributor, along with a black turtleneck bodyliner.
Optional: Gloves and Rain coat (more options may become available closer to the start of the season)
PRACTICE:
Practice for all teams start July 22nd. Our first week of practice will be focused on conditioning and skills. All teams practice outdoors (behind ETMS) July/August and indoors (ETMS Gym) for September & October. During August, the teams practice 4 nights a week (Monday-Thursday) from 6-8pm. Once school starts, teams practice 3 times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) and have a game Saturday OR Sunday.
An absence policy will be provided in the weeks to come, please keep in mind that registering your child guarantees them a spot on the team, and therefore in our routines. Excessive absence affects the entire team, especially the stunt group, so it cannot be tolerated.
GAMES:
Games are Saturday OR Sunday, once we have a schedule we will send it home with your athlete immediately! If our football players are on the field, we expect our cheerleaders to be on the sidelines. Temperatures for games vary throughout the season, to make sure each cheerleader is comfortable in the weather, we will give you a game day checklist with gear required for all occasions!
2024 COMPETITIONS
All of our teams will participate in competition! This season we will participate in 4 local competitions, including Peach Festival, the NEYSA Fall Festival, and the UB Spirit Challenge!
FUNDRAISER/SPONSORSHIP:
NWAA Cheer will hold fundraisers throughout the year/season, these fundraisers will directly help with the purchase of new uniforms and equipment.
