Dutch soccer has been my influence for the past 30 plus years. It has shaped my mentality and my approach to the game in general and to coaching and training specifically In April of 1997, I was extremely fortunate to be able to attend a 10 day Coaching Symposium in Zeist, The Netherlands, co-sponsored by the KNVB-NSCAA. Zeist is the headquarters of the KNVB, the governing body of Dutch soccer. With a small group of eight coaches, we were instructed by two of the Dutch Federation's finest, Jan Pruijn and Bram Braam, both A-licensed instructors. We experienced first-hand the Dutch culture and mentality towards soccer as we had access to facilities, training and matches of the top teams in Holland, youth through first team. It was a tremendously worthwhile and life-long experience for me as I have been preaching the Dutch Vision message upon my return to any interested listeners. Thus, the development of CBC-dutch touch International Soccer Program. It is the best way for me to spread the Dutch Vision and to share what I have learned over the years about Dutch football. As a coach, it has been my ambition to have my teams play in the Dutch way, to play with a Dutch Touch.
