3rd Annual Hartness/Roberts Scholarship Challenge

The scholarships will be given to one senior football player from Vilonia and one from Greenbrier. Each year, a senior on the winning team of the Judge's Cup will receive a $4000 scholarship to be paid 4 consecutive years of college and a senior on the other team will receive a one time $500 scholarship. The recipients will be announced at the scholarship banquets in May.

WAYNE HARTNESS
loved his Greenbrier Panthers! He was a Greenbrier Alumni, an All State Lineman, and a Massarelli Trooper. Wayne
was married to the love of his life, Donna, for 32 years and adored both of his children Ricki and Clay. If you wanted to see Wayne light up, then talk about his 4 grandchildren. Wayne was active in the Greenbrier/Wooster communities, he volunteered in many area sports: baseball, softball, and football. He founded the Letterman’s Club, a scholarship program, mentoring and supporting the
Greenbrier football program. You could always find Wayne standing by the fence, as close to the field as he could get, cheering them on, sometimes with constructive criticism. Wayne’s vein ran Greenbrier Blue. Wayne loved his Lord, his family, his duty as a fire fighter and Wayne Hartness loved his Greenbrier Panthers!!!

JERRY ROBERTS
was a strong Christian and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a loving husband for 33 years to his wife Judy Milam Roberts. And he always said his greatest accomplishment was his daughter Kayla. He was currently serving his 26th year on the Vilonia School Board. Described by many as “Vilonia’s biggest fan”. As summer would turn to fall, and the Friday Lights would light up, if you were looking for Jerry, just run to the lights and that’s where he would be. And when they turned out the lights for the final game, he would be in the gym cheering on the the round ballers!! Jerry Roberts was a true Eagle fan and community leader.
