• Tournament committee has the right to combine age groups if necessary. Each team will play a minimum of 3 games.
• All age groups will receive awards for 1st & 2nd possibly 3rd.
• All games played at one location
• Roster Size – 6 players maximum

1. Teams must have registration forms with all player and parent signatures.

McPherson City FC 3 v 3 Tournament Rules
The McPherson City FC 3 v 3 Tournament is for all players 7 to 15, HS and Open. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
PLAYER REGISTRATION:
• A maximum of six players on a team roster, three field players at a time.
• Players may only play on one team in their age bracket.
• There are no goal keepers in 3 v 3.
• Roster changes must be made prior to the first game.
• Proof of age is required. Players can have player card or birth certificates.
FIELD DIMENSIONS:
• U8 play on 30yd x 20 yd. U9 – Up play on 40yd x 30 yd.
BALL SIZE:
• U8 use size 3. U9 - U12 use size 4. U 13 & Up use size 5.
GOAL BOX:
There are no goalkeepers in 3v3. The goal box is approximately ten feet wide by six foot long located directly in front of the goal. The goals are four feet high by eight feet wide.
There is no ball contact allowed within the goal box, however, all players may pass through the goal box as long as they do not touch the ball while in the box. If the ball comes to a rest in the goal box, or on the goal box line, a goal kick is awarded regardless of who touched the ball last. Any part of the ball or player’s body on the line or inside the plane of the box is considered in the goal box and an extension of such. If a defensive player touches the ball after it has entered the goal box, the plane of the goal box, or an extension of the goal box (such as any part of the ball or player’s body on the line or inside the plane of the box), a goal will be awarded to the offensive team. If an offensive player touches the ball after it has entered the goal box, the plane of the goal box, or an extension of the goal box (such as any part of the ball or player’s body on the line or inside the plane of the box), a goal kick will be awarded to the defensive team, and a goal will not be counted if scored. The plane of the goal box extends upward infinitely. The referee’s judgment call and ruling on the field will not be overturned.
GOAL SCORING:
• A goal many only be scored from a touch on offense’s half of the field
UNIFORMS:
• Each team must have light & dark jersey. Home team will change in case of conflict. SHINGUARDS MANDATORY.
GAME DURATION:
• Two 12 minute halves with two minute halftime. NO TIMEOUTS.
PLAYOFF OVERTIME:
• TEAMS WILL HAVE A 3 MINUTE “GOLDEN GOAL” OVERTIME PERIOD. If the score is still tied, the winner is decided by shootout (see penalty kicks) with the 3 players on the field at end of golden goal period.
KICK INS & FREE KICKS:
• All are indirect except for corner kicks and penalty kicks and the ball is kicked into play from the sidelines or the end line on goal kicks.
PENALTY KICKS:
• Shall be awarded if, in the referee's opinion, a scoring opportunity was nullified by the infraction. It is a direct kick taken from the midfield line with all other players behind the midfield line. If a goal is not scored, the defense obtains possession with a goal kick. Penalty kicks are not live balls.
SCORING (IN POOL PLAY):
• 3 points for a win; 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss. FORFEITS: A forfeit is scored as 5-0
TIES WILL BE BROKEN BY:
• Head-to-head results
• Goal difference in pool play games up to 5 goals
• Fewest goals against in head-to head games up to 5 goals
• Fewest goals against in pool play up to 5 goals
• Playoff team shootout.
WEATHER:
• Tournament director reserve the right to delay, reduce game times, or reschedule games for adverse weather or unplayable field conditions.
SPORTSMANSHIP:
• Players, coaches and spectators are expected to act in the nature of good sportsmanship at all times. Abuse of the referees will not be tolerated. Any instance of such conduct will disqualify the responsible team from the event.
