REGISTRATION FOR MINOT STORM FASTPITCH WILL CLOSE ON MAY 1, 2024.

Welcome to the 2024 season of Minot Storm Fastpitch. 

Minot Storm Fastpitch is a travel program intended to provide an opportunity to play against teams from other communities and expose the girls to a competitive level of fastpitch.

Eligibility:
All players in 10U, 12U and 14U ages must be registered in Minot Parks Youth Fastpitch summer league to be eligible for participation in Minot Storm program.  16U and 18U are encouraged to play in summer program, but not required to play.

Players:
Players need to register for Minot Storm Fastpitch on the registration page.

The player's abilities will be evaluated by their past performance in summer league.  They will also be evaluated at practices and games throughout the spring fastpitch season for 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U ages.  Any players not evaluated in these times will be evaluated during an evaluation day to be held prior to team selection day. 

Selections at the 10U age level will be based on past performance in summer league and practices. There will also be evaluation nights to be determined at a later date.

Once teams are selected the players will be notified.

Teams:
10U: two teams - one team each in A and B divisions

12U: two teams - one team each in A and B divisions

14U: two teams - one team each in A and B divisions

16U: one team - team will play in the A division

18U B: one team - this team is determined by registration numbers.  We will do everything possible to field this 3rd team at the older age group.

18U A: one team - team will play in the A division

Maximum number of players per team will be 12. Teams may have fewer than 12 but no less than 10.

Play:
Teams will practice starting in late May and throughout the season. The season will end with the State Tournament, July 12-14 in Bismarck.

All team members will play in each game. Coaches will do their best to get players into games with the understanding that there are fewer players that play the positions of pitcher and catcher, and games can end early due to the run rule. The purpose for this program is for every girl to experience competitive level fastpitch.

All teams will play 3-5 games in the Bismarck Early Bird Tournament on June 7-9. 

We will work to schedule games against communities including Bottineau, Mohall, Stanley, Kenmare, Watford City, Grand Forks, Devils Lake, Jamestown, Williston, Dickinson, Mandan, Bismarck and Canadian teams as schedules permit.

The Minot Storm Tournament is scheduled for June 14-16. All teams will play 3-5 games in this tournament. We will need volunteers to help run this tournament.

Mt. Rushmore Classic in Rapid City, June 21-23.  All Minot Storm teams will attend with the exception of the 10U B team. Registration for this tournament is done in September of preceding year.  We may alter team rosters for this tournament if necessary to ensure all teams can attend.

All teams will play 3-5 games in the North Dakota Junior Olympic State Tournament.  This year's tournament will be held in Bismarck the weekend of July 11-13-14.

Uniforms:
Players will be provided with a full uniform including jersey, pants, socks and helmet.

Uniform colors will be Columbia Blue, Navy and White.

All infield players will be required to wear a face-mask. NO EXCEPTIONS! Players will supply their own mask.

Cost:
Player fee is to be paid online by credit card.  This fee covers all tournament fees for the season as well as costs for games played outside of tournament play.

18U-16U-14U-12U-10U $250.000 per player for the season, non-refundable. ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE $250.00.

10U-B does not attend the Rushmore Classic, but we do schedule additional games with local communities.  Registration fees cover umpires, balls and field rental for these additional games.


Fundraising:
There will be fundraising that is required for all players.  We will update once the fundraising program is in place.  Each player is responsible for $200 in fundraising.  This will be a PREPAY fundraising.  Families will submit payment for fundraising prior to the player being issued a uniform.  

FUNDRAISING OPT-OUT:  You can opt out of the fundraising for $150.00.  This will cover your fundraising obligation for the season!

Registration:
If your daughter is interested in playing for the Minot Storm, please register on this website so we have a complete list of potential players.  Once teams are selected, players will be notified.  Payment is due upon registration.  Once teams are selected, if your player did not make a team, a full refund of the registration fee will be returned to you.  Registration opened November 15, 2023.
