Brian McGuirk, The Founder of ProForm brings a significant background in coaching and training hockey players to ProForm. Along with being director of ProForm, Brian serves as director of Top Gun Hockey. Brian was drafted #231 by Columbus Blue Jackets in 2004. He played 3 years professionally in Columbus’s farm system for Kalamazoo Wings of ECHL and Syracuse Crunch of AHL. Prior to turning Pro, Brian played NCAA Division 1 hockey for Boston University. At BU, he was captain his senior season. Brian is a 2003 Graduate of Governors Academy.
Pat Gigante, Owner of XP, (KSI Coach, SSC, CPT) has over 15 years experience preparing athletes for elite competition in all sports at the collegiate and youth levels. With experience working with multiple professional athletes and top collegiate lacrosse, hockey, football, soccer, and baseball players, Pat has honed his ability to develop the entire athlete. Pat spent many years as the Strength & Conditioning Coach at Tufts University and has extensive knowledge in injury prevention and rehab techniques.
Dennis McCauley, is in his first season with ProForm development. Prior to joining the Pro Form team, Dennis played 6 years of Professional Hockey playing for the San Jose Sharks and Buffalo Sabres AHL teams, before spending 3 years in Europe, playing in Italy, Denmark and Poland. Before turning pro Dennis played 4 years at Northeastern University graduating in 2009 with a degree in Business Management.
Troy Thibodeau is back for his 4th season as on ice coach with ProForm Development. Thibodeau is currently in his first season at Merrimack College as Video Coordinator for the Men’s Ice Hockey team. A former men’s ice hockey student-athlete at the University of Southern Maine, Troy began his coaching career as the assistant coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he was responsible for daily practice planning, player development, recruiting and video analysis.
Troy interned with the Strength and Conditioning Department at the University of Florida and the University of Denver. Troy looks forward to passing on his knowledge not only in strength and conditioning but also in on-ice and off-ice skills to hockey athletes as they grow, develop and succeed in their hockey careers.
