My name is Kim Tillery and I am the Proud President of San Tan Regional Youth Football. I have been volunteering in youth sports for the last nine years and prior to that I mentored young athletes during my high school days. I have played many sports in my day and as an all around athlete was able to excel in any sport that I took on. I have coached youth football specifically for the last four years and have been able to share my love of the game with so many kids. I truly believe that football is able to help transform young boys and girls. Through hard work from player, parent, and coach, these athletes learn a different level of structure and discipline. They begin to understand action and effect because it happens right in front of their faces. They become more focused on the field which translates to their daily life which benefits them now and down the road. The last nine years volunteering have been some of the most rewarding and life changing for me. You start out volunteering out of the goodness of your heart but you never expect the overwhelming reward that is felt in your heart as you get to watch kids grow and blossom. Year after year it amazes me watching the growth in fundamentals and technique. Watching the lightbulb as the play suddenly makes sense or seeing them read a play differently then they would have a year ago. This is why we do what we do. I do hope many of you will join this journey and get to experience these things. Please do not hesitate to email or call me. I try to be very available as communication and transparency are extremely important to me.
Thank you!

A little about me..I played football for for 13 years of my life. I have been coaching youth football for over 7 years now with my focus being on the lineman and those first year players and how to develop them. That being said, I have spent years teaching different positions and I truly believe in teaching kids to be well rounded. Not just in football but in their day to day. I have enjoyed seeing kids grow from timid players to BEASTS on the field. I am especially passionate about teaching fundamentals and technique above all else. I coach with the mindset of fairness!! Giving players a chance to prove themselves on the grid-iron while keeping their safety at the fore-front of my mind. This is a team sport and EVERYONE is apart of the team!!! |

My name is Richard Powell and I am the Secretary for San Tan Regional Youth Football Association. I also serve on the board as Academic Director for it's Conference, United Youth Football. I began coaching youth football three years ago as an assistant. I discovered the wonderful benefits that youth football brings to the kids and the community and am eager to help provide this for our area through STRYFA and UYFL. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico in 2004 and I am fully aware of the extensive opportunities that good education can provide. I firmly believe that developing a healthy balance between youth sports and education builds an important platform that our kids will use their whole lives.
