Hello Grandview Little League Families,
It is time, once again, to prepare to close out our wonderful baseball season.
Every year this is always a bitter-sweet moment for all of the volunteers, parents, and players as we are excited to end the season to begin new adventures, but saddened by the end of the fun we had. Please join us in this celebration of what was, and what is to come.
Closing Day Ceremonies will be held, on Saturday, June 17th, 2023.
As in years past, we will again be hosting Closing Day ceremonies on the Juniors/Seniors Baseball Diamond (aka Field #9). This is the largest field at Grandview Little League, and is immediately to the North of the Main Concessions stand. The schedule will be as followed:
- 9:00 AM - Bam Bam and T-Ball awards and recognitions.
- 10:00 AM - Softball awards and recognitions
- 11:00 AM - Baseball awards and recognitions
The Grill, and Concession Stand will be open for the duration of our event. This will be the last chance for many of you to get your Double Cheese Burger fix, so don't miss out!
With the closing of the season, we also look forward to the next season, and ask that you strongly consider volunteering your time at Grandview Little League. We are a volunteer-based league and we need coaches and people to help run the league. We're always short on coaches, and more starkly, umpires it seems, and could always use more mentors and guides.
If you don't feel comfortable being a coach or umpire, we need more board members or other volunteers. If you're not sure how you can contribute, come find an existing board member, we'll happily give you a quick rundown of what each currently existing position does, and who knows, maybe you've a skill we could use in an as yet created position!
A lot of people have great opinions and ideas, and we'd hate for your thoughts to be wasted, so please volunteer to help out! There's never enough help, and our league, is only as good as the volunteers within it.
