Frequently Asked Questions

- Do I need to order a Award Ceremony ticket for my player?

No.  An Awards Banquet ticket is part of your player registration, no need to order.  Each player will be given 2 tickets for the awards ceremony.  Additional ticket can be requested at the concession stand on a first come, first serve process.

- Can my player attend the Awards Ceremony alone?

No. Each player must be accompanied by an adult and are not allowed to attend alone.

- Do I need to order Chicago Fire Club Outing tickets?

You can purchase Chicago Fire Club Outing tickets whenever convenient for you and your family.  We offer at the time of registration to give the options for some families to order / pay for all things CSC at one time.If you would like to purchase at a later date, simply log-in to your account and purchase.  Event specific information will be posted, and emailed, closer to the event date.

 
- Can may child attend the Chicago Fire Outing alone?

No. Each child must attend with an adult. This is intended as a family event, CSC will NOT provide transportation or supervision for players. 

 
- What are the ages for each division?

Widget (5-6 years old)
Pee-Wee (7-8 years old)
Junior (9-10 years old)
Senior (11-13 years old)

(These ages are general, as the birth date is the defining factor)

 
- When is the season?

The season runs from August to early October.  Practices begin in July.

- Where are the games played?

All games are played at the CSC fields located at 13900 Lavergne. (The northeast corner of Cicero and Midlothian Turnpike, under the High-lines)

- Where are practices held?

Practices are held in and around the Crestwood Area.  Time, frequency, and location are all determined by the volunteer coach.

- How many games are played in a season?

The seasons consists of 10-12 games, plus a mid season 4 vs 4 tourney.

- What is included in the registration cost?

- Full Uniform Kit (Jersey, Shorts, Socks)
- Individual and Team Pictures
- Awards Banquet Ticket
- 10-12 Games, plus mid-season 4 vs 4 tourney
- Trophy


- What are the fundraising requirements / What are candy sales?

In an effort to keep costs low, our club requires each child to sell $120 World's Finest Chocolate candy bars (60 bars @ $2 each). A player may opt out of this requirement by completing a buyout.  The buyout is $100 each player and must be completed at the time of registration.

- How can I, or my company, become a sponsor?

If you are interested in becoming a Crestwood Soccer Club sponsor please email us at [email protected].  To keep costs low, our club depends on the generosity of its sponsors.

- Can I request my player be placed on a certain team?

No. Our teams are built by a computer generated random draft. This is done to ensure equal number of boys & girls, and a balance of each age, are distributed evenly across all teams. Due to this fact, we are unable to accept team requests. (The only exception to this rule, is when siblings play in the same age division.)

- Is Crestwood Soccer free for Crestwood residents?

The Village of Crestwood is offering a reimbursement program for Crestwood Residents participating in youth sports programs that are played in the village. Crestwood Soccer is an eligible sport for this program. The process is simple...register, and pay for, your player's enrollment online at www.crestwoodsoccerclub.com. Once complete, you will receive a receipt emailed to you. Simply take the paid receipt to the village to complete the reimbursement process.

- Do you need to be a Crestwood resident to play CSC soccer?

You do not need to be a resident of Crestwood to play with our club, players from all of the surrounding suburbs are welcome!  In addition, there are no non-resident fees.  All players pay the same $75 registration fee.

- Is this a co-ed league?

Yes, CSC is a coed league...boys and girls play together on the same team.

- What size ball does my player need?

- What equipment does my player need to play and practice?

All players should have their own age appropriate sized ball, shin guards, soccer shoes / spikes (NO BASEBALL SHOES), and a water bottle.

- What is the JZT Scholarship?

The JZT scholarship was intended to assist in the cost of college for CSC alumni.  If you are interested in more information, please visit the JZT Scholarship page, or email [email protected].

- What is the RAM Benefit Fund?

The RAM Benefit Fund was intended to help families of need pay for the cost of playing with CSC. If you are interested in more information, please visit the RAM Benefit Fund page, or email [email protected].

-Does my player need to play regular season CSC soccer, to play travel?

Yes, we will build our travel teams to include all regular season CSC soccer players with first priority.

- Who can register a player?

ONLY THE LEGAL PARENT OR GUARDIAN IS ALLOWED TO REGISTER A PLAYER (NO EXCEPTIONS)
