Mutiny Shows Up BIG at Extreme Cup 2018

Over the weekend the Mutiny impressed at the Extreme Cup at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch. The Mutiny had least one team in every age group from U9 through U14. Out of those 6 age groups the club had 4 teams in the Finals. Jorge Rodriguez's team finished as U13 finalist in the premier bracket. In their weekend series of games they shutout the 18th ranked team in the state with a 4-0 win to make it to the finals and in the finals had a hard fought battle against the number 20th ranked team in the state but just fell short with a 2-1 loss. Colin Rankin's U14 team finished CHAMPIONS. After going 1-1-1 in group play they advanced to the finals. Once there they shutout the Lakeland Tropics 4-0. Tim Bett's U11 team finished as finalist. After their 3 games in group play the had a +11 goal differential. Last but not least was Jared Novoa's U9 Black team finishing as finalist. This was the U9's first ever tournament and they didn't let it distract them from their goal of putting balls in the back of the net and points on the board. The U9 black team had 6 other teams in their bracket they had to compete against to get to the finals which also consisted of the U9 Mutiny Red team and the U8 Mutiny. Congratulations to all players and coaches. Job well done!!!
