South Western Youth Lacrosse- Spring 2026 Registration
Divisions: 8U-14U

The SWYLAX club is comprised primarily of boys residing in the South Western School District. 

Eligibility
  • Players 14 years old and in high school are not eligible to participate in the YCLA. Exceptions or special requests cannot be accepted or approved.
  • Girls in grades 1st- 4th may participate in SWYLAX program in their respective grade divisions. Beginning in 5th grade, girls are encouraged to join the South Western Girls LAX Program to become familiar with the rules and format of girl’s lacrosse.
  • Divisions are determined by age, following USA Lacrosse Guidelines.

Divisions
  • 8U/10U-Focus on learning the core skills and fundamentals. These levels are non-competitive with no playoffs or championships.
  • 12U/14U- Competitive divisions with playoffs and championships. Play-off seeding is based on regular-season results.

Uniforms
Players must wear the SWYLAX club uniforms. 
  • Uniforms will be provided for all players; uniforms previously purchased during prior seasons may be used for Spring 2026 season if they still fit and are in good condition. Excludes 2022 orangish uniforms.
  • Unfortunately, we will no longer be ordering new uniforms. All players must either use a provided uniform or a uniform from a previous year. Excludes 2022 orangish uniform.

USA Lacrosse Membership
All participants in York County Lacrosse (YCLA) must be current members of USA Lacrosse, the governing body for youth lacrosse in the US.
Please visit USA Lacrosse | Governing Body of Lacrosse in the United States to obtain or renew your player's membership.

Birth Certificates
YCLA requires proof of age for all players. Please upload your player's birth certificate to the USA Lacrosse website or bring a paper/electronic copy to all games. Players will not be permitted to play without verified proof of age.

Kickoff Meeting
A kick-off meeting for all parents, guardians, and players will be held. This will be a time to meet the coaches, discuss expectations and ask questions. Specific date, time, and location will be announced.

Mandatory Fundraiser
Each family will be asked to participate in a mandatory fundraiser. Details and dates to be announced.
