The Newburgh Armory Unity Center offers the youth of the area many different programs. One program in particular, the Saturday Morning Enrichment Program, combines academics and sports. Participants of the NAUC Saturday Enrichment Programs are provided the opportunity to participate in an enriching educational experience that is combined with a sport activity. The educational experiences that the NUAC provides relates to reading, math, science, music, engineering, gardening and/or the performing arts. 
The enrichment participants are able to choose between soccer, basketball or dance as their sport activity as a reward for participating in the academic program. The soccer portion of the program is sponsored by Hudson Valley Youth Soccer League. 
As New York Xtreme FC soccer club maintains a strong focus on the academics of their elite athletes, the CONA program at the Newburgh Armory is a program that NYXFC encourages. NYXFC players have volunteered their time to work with the young student athletes involved in the CONA program and enjoy sharing their experience with the young players, particularly on the soccer field. As the CONA program exemplifies our beliefs of the importance of academics and sports in a young person’s life, t-shirts were donated on behalf of NYXFC for the spring session of the CONA program. All participants of the spring session, whether the participant chose the soccer, basketball or dance program as part of their experience, received a Newburgh Armory/NY Xtreme FC t-shirt. NY Xtreme FC believes that education is the gateway to a better future for children and sport is a universal language that crosses many barriers and influences to help young athletes grow into confident, high character individuals. NY Xtreme FC is proud and happy to support the enrichment programs to benefit the community children of the Newburgh Armory Unity Center.
