What/Who is Hobbs Youth Football League?
Hobbs Youth Football League is a full contact youth football league. To engage in teaching and encouraging participation in the sport of American football.
■ To assist in combating juvenile delinquency by promoting the physical and emotional well-being of young people by interesting them in participating in the sport of American football.
■ To further SPORTSMANSHIP and the importance of physical activity in their lives.
■ To organize and manage competitive games and exhibits.
How much is the registration fee?
Players Fees – $150 per player. Each player borrows a helmet, shoulder pads and chin strap which will be issued to the player and returned at the end of the season. Each player receives a game jersey, white padded football pants, mouth guard and a helmet decal. Parents are to provide football cleats and any other desired football equipment. Each team will be required to have a $500 dollar sponsor to assist with referee training and player insurance.

What proof do I need to be able to verify the age of my child?
At Registration, an original birth certificate needs to be verified by a HYFL representative. If needed, HYFL reserves the right to ask for further documentation such as an original report card along with the players original school I.D. (if district gives out) will be needed to verify the child’s age, and the school I.D. is also proof that the child playing is in fact the same child pictured on the I.D.
Where will the games be played?

Where will my child practice ? What days will my child practice ? What time are practices held ?
None of these questions can be answered, it is up to the head coach of each team to find his own practice location. He/ she will set his days & practice times based on his schedule.
How do I know what team my child is on?
Registration is complete when the registration form AND payment have been received. A draft, also know as a player selection meeting, will take place with all coaches. This is where the team is created. Once your registration form and payment have been received, your child’s coach will contact you via e-mail or telephone. You may have to wait until mid July when players are placed on teams. Returning players have the option to return to their previous team or to the draft. Decision can only be made at registration.

What should I expect at the coaches meeting (for coaches only) ?
At the coaches meeting we will go over all the rules and let each team know exactly what is expected from them, the team, the fans, and all involved with each organization. Each coach will be subjected to a background check and will be verified and given a HYFL I.D. which is needed to be on the sideline. The cost for this verification will be $15 dollars per coach. Teams will be allowed to have 4 coaches on the sideline & one of those coaches sole-responsibility will be to have the team binder ready for team verification and to monitor the sidelines and control the parents and fans of your team only. No coaches will be allowed on the sideline without your HYFL coach I.D.
Will I be able to get a refund if for some reason my child cannot play?
No refunds will be given after the first day of practice begins.
Hobbs Youth Football League reserves the right to prohibit or expel any parent, coach, player, or team from joining or remaining in the league for any reason that they deem necessary with no refund provided.
