What is the difference in Majors, Minors and Intermediate? Majors division is made up of 11-12 year olds that play baseball on a 60 foot diamond and pitch from a 46 foot mound. Majors play closed base baseball which means there is no leading off bases until the ball passes the plate. Minors is made up of 9-10 year olds that play baseball on a 60 foot diamond with closed bases also. Intermediate is a new division for boys 11-13, played on 70 foot base paths and pitching from 50 feet. This division allows open bases (leading off, stealing bases etc). It's real baseball, on a smaller diamond.
