Bill Murray    Perry Hall Recreation Youth Volleyball Director


Bill Murray just completed his 1st year (2022) as Head Coach Calvert Hall College High School Boys Varsity Volleyball.  He previously was the Assistant Head Varsity Girl’s Coach John Carroll High School, (2005-17) and the Head Varsity Girl’s Coach at the Institute of Notre Dame High School (2000-04).  In 2004, Bill led IND to the school's first Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland title in any sport by capturing the A Conference championship, finishing 20-0 and ranked No. 10 by The Baltimore Sun.  That same year he was also named the Baltimore Sun’s Volleyball All Metro “Coach of the Year” and All Baltimore City/County “Coach of the Year”.  Prior to IND, he was the Head Coach for Loyola University of Maryland Men’s Club Volleyball from 1998-2003 guiding the Greyhounds to EIVA Centennial Conference titles in 2002 and 2003.  He also received EIVA Centennial Conference’s “Coach of the Year” in 2003 and Loyola University’s Club Sports “Coach of the Year” in 2000.  Bill has coached boys club volleyball for Charm City Volleyball Academy, Masters Volleyball Academy & Time Out For Sports.  He founded the St Joseph Fullerton Athletic Association volleyball program.

Bill has been played volleyball for MVP Juniors, Loyola University of Maryland Men’s Club and USAV BB/B.  He has a degree in Political Science from Loyola University and is IMPACT, CPR AED Certified.  Bill and his wife, Susan live in Perry Hall, Maryland and have 3 boys (Ben, Andrew and Jason)
