2019 Boys Winter Training Information

Open Gym & Strength, Speed, & Agility Training
When: Begins Monday, January 7th  6-8pm @ Farmer Jims & runs every Monday
*Open Gym for all players in grades 8th-11th from 6-7pm
*Strength, Speed, & Agility Training with Coach Tony Sarigianopoulos from TKS Athletics @ Farmer Jims from 7-8pm https://www.tksathletics.com/ 
Focus will be on developing core strength, improving running technique, developing the ability to change directions quickly, & creating explosive speed.

From Coach Tony: Starting in 2002 as a Powerlifter in the WNPF, I have a full understanding of what it takes to step outside of your comfort zone, making you a better person physically and mentally. My certifications are with the International  Sports Sciences Association (x2) as a General Fitness Instructor as well as a Specified Youth Fitness Trainer. I'm also certified with Bigger, Faster, Stronger, which is known for teaching kids fitness in a way that keeps training interesting.  Finding ways to achieve award through any of life's circumstances is my goal in training young athletes.


Cost $65/month per player includes All January Open Fields & All January Fitness Trainings (4 nights x 2 hours each night)

Futsal Training & Open Play
When: Tuesdays beginning January 8th 8-9pm for grades 10th-11th
--OR--
Thursdays beginning January 10th 8-9pm for grades 8th-9th
Where:  North Road Intermediate Gymnasium
No charge
*Please no soccer balls in the gymnasium, futsal balls only!

Winter Core Workout
2 Reps of the Following:
*25 Sit Ups
*25 Push Ups
*While on Back Legs Straight Up in the Air Touch Feet with Both Hands 25 Times
*While on Back Right Leg Straight Up and Touch with Left Hand 25 Times
*While on Back Left Leg Straight Up and Touch with Right Hand 25 Times
*Bicycle Exercise 25 times in each direction
*While on Back and hands Under Butt Hold Both Legs Up 6 inches off the ground for 1 minute/ Repeat Twice
*Front Plank 1 minute
*Left Side Plank 1 minute
*Right Side Plank 1 minute

2 mile Jog
*To be done 3 to 4 times a week
