PIZMYSC (PIZM Youth Soccer Club) provides an opportunity for kids 8-18 years of age to play traveling summer soccer. This program is offered in addition to the local REC soccer program offered for grades PreK-6th as well as high school age kids. Traveling team practice begins in April or May with 2-4 tournaments played during the season. The tournaments are usually played in the Rochester and the Twin Cities area. Teams are created based upon birth year and multiple birth years may be combined depending upon the number of kids registered. In addition, we also participate in league play which will include 1-2 games per week during the spring/summer season.
Objective:
This program is for players that are looking to play competitive league and tournament soccer beyond that of our local REC league. Our goal is to foster, develop, and promote the game of soccer in Pine Island, Oronoco and Zumbrota-Mazeppa areas.
Practice Schedule
- Teams practice at least 2 times/week starting in April or May and continue through July. (Practice nights depend on the coaches schedule)
- Practices are separate and in addition to the REC Soccer practices.
- During the Rec league season, traveling practices will be immediately following the Rec practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tournaments:
- Teams usually play 2-4 tournaments
- Tournament selections are based on player and coach availability.
League Games:
- One weekend game per week prior to Memorial Day
- 1-2 week night games (in place of practice) after Memorial Day
Cost:
- League play will have a flat rate per player depending on age. This fee is due upon registration. This fee does not include tournament or uniform charges.
- U13-U18: $145 per player
- U11-U12: $135 per player
- U8-U10: $120 per player
- Tournament costs will be (+/-) $150.00-$300.00 per player
- Tournament costs are dependent on the number of players per team and number of tournaments played
- This does not include traveling expenses like food, gas, and hotel
- Uniform charges: (+/-) $66.00- $75.00 in addition to the fees mentioned above.
