2024 Summer Softball Registration

We have two summer options:
1) Competitive Travel Teams - Amesbury Fireballs
2) In Town Ball - Clinics and Position Player Development

Competitive Travel Teams - Amesbury Fireballs - Tryout Saturday June 8th 8am Collins St Field.
We hope to field a 14u and 12u team (this is driven by number of qualifying participants)
These are competitive teams and have limited roster space available.
* 14U's will play on Monday/Wednesday *12U's will play on Tuesday/Thursday
Season starts on Monday, June 24th. Season ends on Thursday, August 1st.
The week of August 5th can be used as weather related reschedules.
All Star Game - tentative date 7/20/24
 There are two games a week and additional practices. All scheduled games are played on weeknights.
  Some make-up games due to weather-related cancellations could be made up on a weekend.
Practice nights vary by coach and could include a Sunday evening.

Summer Jersey Included
Summer Programing is Focused on Developing Position Players & Understanding of the Game Mechanics/Strategy
Scholarships available; Pricing is very affordable -- since your spring insurance and usa softball registration are still valid!

AGYSL is a recreational softball league that focuses on skill development and knowledge of the game while 
fostering a competitive spirit of sportsmanlike play.

Attending tryouts is strongly encouraged so we can draft balanced rosters.

Grade Level Division Arrival Time Tryout Time
Grades 2 – 4, Farm: arrive at 9:45am. Tryouts: 10am – 12pm
Grades 5 – 6, Juniors: arrive at 11:45am. Tryouts: 12pm – 2pm
Grades 7 – 8, Seniors: arrive at 1:45pm. Tryouts: 2pm – 4pm

GENERAL DETAILS
The 2024 Softball Spring Season is anticipated to run March 17th through June 9th.
These dates are weather dependent and subject to change.
AGYSL will be playing in the Essex County Women's Softball League (ECWSL). 
Practices will be announced once teams are selected.
Practice time, day, location is subject to coaches discretion and field availability.
Games will be announced when schedules are compiled.
All games are played on weekdays when logistically possible.
There is a playoff bracket for Senior and Junior levels of play. Playoff details to follow.
Farm Level Play (2-4th grade) will not be entered into travel play. AGYSL will host all play locally for farm.
