FAQ's

* When does the season begin?
The season begins the first week of April running through the last week of May.

* When are practices?
Practices will begin February - March. Times and days to be determined by coaches as season approaches.

* How much are the fees?
Our fees are $130 per player + $30 fundraising.

* How many games do we play?
All teams will play a potential eight week season. Your team will play two games a week, one home and one away. 

* Where do we play?
Our home games are at Patterson's T.W. Sports Complex. Away games are played in neighboring cities within Stanislaus County.

* Where are the fields?

All field locations are located in the "About Us" tab under "Locations". Each coach will have the field locations as well to send out to parents as games approach.

* What are the age limits?
For girls’ softball, a player must be 7 as of 12/31/2022 or 14 as of 12/31/2022. For boys’ baseball, a player must be 7 years old as of 5/1/2023 or 14 as of 4/31/2023.

* Can a 6 year old play?
A 6 year old can play, with petition approval, on a 7-8 B or C division team.

* Can a 15 year old play?
A 15 year old can play, with petition approval, provided that the 15 year old is in  8th grade.

* Is there a T-ball team?
Tigers County Ball currently does not have a T-ball program. Subject to change upon demand.

* Can travel ball players play?
Travel ball players can play both softball and baseball. However, a travel ball baseball player cannot pitch while still in travel ball.

* How are teams structured?
Teams are structured in age groups 7-8 coach pitch, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 kid pitch and A & B categories (American, National, Pacific, and Western). An American team will not play a National team during the regular season, nor will an A team play a B team during the regular season.

* When is Opening/Closing Day Ceremony?
Our opening ceremony will be held end of March and closing day ceremonies will be held end of May, beginning of June. A date and time will be sent out as we get closer. 

* What does the program provide?
The program provides a jersey, hat and socks for the players. Coaches are provided with extra bats, helmets, and gloves if enough are donated. (We are always open to donations.)

* What do I need to purchase?
Cleats, glove, batting helmet (with faceguard for softball), bat (optional), pants. 

* Cleat regulations
Plastic/rubber cleats for ages 7-12, metal cleats optional for ages 13-14.

* League Info
We are in the Stanislaus County youth baseball and softball league. We are not affiliated with Little League or Junior Giants. 

* How do I become a coach?
Coaches applications are available on our website. Coaches are chosen by seniority, good standings, and experience. 

* How can I help?
Board member applications are available online. We are always looking for volunteers for planning activities, fundraising, snack bars, and general help. DONATIONS and SPONSORSHIPS are always welcome.
