2026 Salinas Colts & Broncos Cheer

Youth Cheer Program Overview

Our cheer program is designed to promote confidence, teamwork, and spirit while teaching the fundamentals of cheerleading. Athletes will learn cheers and routines in a fun and supportive environment. Cheerleaders will support our football teams at games and participate in community events.

Divisions:

Mighty Mites (Cheer for Mighty Mites Football)

Ages: 5-6 years old (as of August 1st)
Introduction to basic cheer motions, chants, and crowd participation.

Jr. Broncos Cheer (Cheer for Jr. Broncos Football)

Ages: 7-9 years old (as of August 1st)
Introduction to choreography, formations, and performance techniques.

Broncos Cheer (Cheer for Broncos Football)

Ages: 9-12 years old (as of August 1st)
Intermediate skills include choreography, formations, and performance techniques.

Colts Cheer (Cheer for Colts Football)

Ages: 11-14 years old (as of August 1st)
Advance skills include choreography, formations, and performance techniques.

Our cheerleaders play a vital role in creating a positive and energetic game-day experience. No prior experience is required—just a great attitude and a willingness to learn!

Mighty Mites (Flag Football): Ages 5-6 years old as of August 1st

Jr. Broncos (Tackle Football): Ages 7-9 years old as of August 1st

--(7-8years old max weight 100lbs, 9 years old max weight 72lbs.)

Broncos (Tackle Football): Ages 9-12 years old as of August 1st

--(9-11 years old max weight 135lbs, 12 years old max weight 92lbs.)

Colts (Tackle Football): Ages 11-14 years old as of August 1st

--(max weight 180lbs for unrestricted players ages 11-13 years old, max weight 150lbs for unrestricted players age 14 years old. 11-13 year old players over 180lbs and 14 year old players over 150lbs will be designated as X-man)
